Pradhan attended the function. The whole camp was conducted by Dr. Satya Saraswat (Cosmetic & Plastic Surgeon) and his team from Agra.

18th June 2012:- Shri K.N Darwala, Member National commission of Minorities, Government of India accompanied by the Secretary, Sikkim Social Welfare Department and the officers visited SVSS Office. Mr. Darwala was impressed by the various activities of SVSS and assured for the early approval & sanction of the pending proposal with Govt. of India for Composite Training Centre at Tokel Bermoik since last 2 years.
10th JULY 2012:- 7th Phase State Green Mission Programme 2012 & Opening Of Training And Rehabilitation Centre, at Tokal Bermiok South Sikkim. It was organized by Sikkim Viklang Sahayata Samiti. The Chief Guest was Hon’ble Minister for Forest & Environment, Wild Life Management & Tourism Department Shri Bhim Dungel. The Hon,ble Speaker Shri K.T.Gyaltsen, and the and members of NHPC Testa (V), Singtam along with members of SVSS disabled students attended the said programme. More than 200 hundreds trees were planted on that day.
01st OCT 2012:- 2nd Batch Computer Training and Beautician training courses started with 30 numbers of computer students and 15 numbers of beauty parlour students. The said training was sponsored by National Handicapped Finance & Development Corporation, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment Government of India through SABCCO Government of Sikkim.
21st to 23rd Nov 2012:- SVSS participated in Public Information Campaign about Flagship Programme organized by Bharat Nirman, Govt. of India, at BAC Pasingdong (Dzongu) North Sikkim, attended by Mr. R.B. Ghimiray, Senior Technician of Sikkim Viklang Sahayata Samiti.
21st to 23rd Nov 2012:- Participated SIKITEX and e-Northeast Award Summit I.T. Exhibition organized by Department of Information Technology at Chintan Bhawan Conference Hall. All the Physically Challenged Persons have attended the programme. And also attended the closing function of SIKITEX at Hotel Tashi Delek followed by Cocktail and Dinner, attended by Office staff Miss Shanti Ghimiray, Mrs Smiriti, Mr.D.J, Miss Seema, and Mr. Bijay Chettri.

On 12th June 2013- Two of the orthopedically impaired girls students of SVSS has started coffee shop at Ruchi Diagnostic Centre sponsored by Sikkim Viklang Sahayata Samiti.
On 2nd Sept 2013- The Valedictory function of two year computer Diploma and Beauty parlor training for differently abled students was taken place at Reshap Tokel Bermiok, South Sikkim. To grace the occasion Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim, Shri Shriniwas Patil was as Chief Guest and different dignitaries as Hon’ble Speaker Shri K.T. Gyaltsen SLA, Hon’ble HRDD Minister Shri N.K.Pradhan, Hon’ble Area MLA B.S.Panth, Hon’ble MLA Am Prasad Sharma, Zilla panchyat, Panchyats and public of the area were present during the program.

On 14th Nov 2013- Sikkim Viklang Sahayata Samiti started destitute shelter home for the disabled person at Reshap Tokel Bermiok, South Sikkim, where two male and two female are residing at present.
On 2rd Dec 2013:- World Disability Day was jointly celebrated by three NGOs of Sikkim at T.N.A.School, organize by Social Justice Empowerment and Welfare Department of Government Sikkim, where Chief Guest was Hon’ble Chief Minister , Shri Pawan Chamling.
On 6th- 14th Dec 2013- Sikkim Viklang Sahayata Samiti organized a free surgical Camp at STNM. Hospital for Cleft Lip, Palate and Burn cases.
The programme was supported by Health Care Human Services & Family Welfare Dept Government of Sikkim. The survey was conducted by Sikkim Viklang Sahayata Samiti.
During the camp the total no of patients were 51 out of which 41 patients were Cleft lip, Palate and 9 patients were of burn cases. Which was successfully operated by Dr. Satya Saraswat of Agra and Specialist Doctors (ENT )and Surgical Department of STNM Hospital, Government of Sikkim”.
The CAMP was sponsored by Smile Train of India for which the financial support by Mayfair Groups of Hotel and Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim Shri Shriniwas Patil .

In the month of April 2014, SVSS have constructed toilet in the Rehabilitation Center for Differently Abled at, Reshap, Tokal Bermiok, South Sikkim. The project was sponsored by the RMDD, Govt. of Sikkim of 1 Lakh and 80 thousand rupees.
On 29th July 2014, SVSS started poultry farm at Namphing, Reship Tokal.
In the month of September 2014, Dr. R. S. Parekh Foundation and Research Center, Agra has donated 6.30 lakhs rupees to purchase a vehicle. The Vehicle is now in use for the benefit of differently abled persons.
On the occasion of World Disable Day (3rd December 2014), SVSS had begun a Khada making unit at Namphing, Reshap, Tokal Bermiok, South Sikkim which was inaugurated by the Honorable Governor of Sikkim Shri Srinivas Patil. The Unit has been started with 20 disabled persons. The Capacity Building, Govt. of Sikkim has sanctioned 4.5 lakh rupees for Khada making project.
Three persons named Suraj Kumar Chettri, Ashok Gurung and Dilip Rai has been sent to Streifeneder, Gurgaon for the fitment of Below Elbow Myo Electric Hand sponsored by the Health Department of Sikkim of Rs. 6 lakhs on 20/12/2014 and returned on 24/01/2015 escorted by Ran Bahadur Ghimiray, senior technician of SVSS.

The 15th group of patients which included 8 patients, has been sent to Saraswat Hospital, Agra on 4/01/2015 for the operation of Cleft Lip, Palate and Burn Cases.
SVSS organized screening camps for patients requiring fitting of artificial limbs, corrective surgeries and vocational training. The camp was held from 9th January to 24th February 2015 in collaboration with the RBSK (Health Department) and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (HRD), Government of Sikkim. In these camps, around 590 people were selected for further treatment. The various disabilities screened in these camps are:
SVSS organized eight days disability camp 2015 at Singtam Hospital from 8th to 15th March 2015 in which:
50 Locomotive disabled persons have been fitted with artificial limbs (Jaipur Foot).
More than 50 patients have been selected for plastic surgery by the renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Satya Saraswat from Agra.
50 orthopedic patients had been selected for surgeries.
30 students have been selected for vocational training.
Closing ceremony of 8 days (8-15 march 2015) free disability camp 2015 was organized by the SVSS in collaboration with the Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti (Jaipur Foot), sponsored by Glenmark and supported by the Health Department of Sikkim, Zydus, Torrent and Sarva Siksha Abhiyan at the Reshap, Tokal Bermiok Center of SVSS. Honorable Health Minister of Sikkim was the Chief Guest of this ceremony and G. M. Gurung (Minister for Road and Bridge, Govt. of Sikkim) was the Guest of Honor. The World Disable Day 2015 was celebrated on 4th December (a day after 3rd December being the actual day) with the ‘foundation stone laying ceremony’ laid by the Hon’ble Governor of Sikkim Shri Sriniwas Patil at Reshap, Tokal Bermiok, South Sikkim.
On 20th February 2016, three months cutting & stitching Training for 30 differently able students was initiated and sponsored by ADWIN, Calcutta.
The training was inaugurated by Gangtok. Mayor Shri Shakti Singh and G.M.C. and Commissioner Shirr C.P. Dhakal. Khada and Handicraft made by differently able people was kept for sale at M.G Marg, Gangtok for one month.
Project Director, Miss Droupadi Ghimirey and Vice President Dr. Dinesh Chettri went on Official visit to various institutions and Hospital from 22nd February to 12th March 2016 at Pune & Mumbai (Maharashtra). They also attended a Workshop at Ali Fater Jang Institute for Deaf and Dumb at Mumbai on the 10th and 11th of March.

Date: 27th February 2017: 19 patients taken to Agra for Clift Lip and Palate and post burnt Surgeries done by Dr. Satya Saraswat at Saraswat Hospital. Escorted by Miss. Droupadi Ghimiray, Ambika Chettri and Diki Sherpa.
On World Environment Day i.e. 5th June 2017, plantation at Reshep center has been done for one week which was supported by the Forest Department of Sikkim and PATANJALI, Singtam. Entire activities have been organized by SIKKIM VIKLANG (DIVYANG) SAHAYATA SAMITI.
In order to construct 2 storey boys’ hostel and training centre at Reshep, Bermiok (South), ground levelling work was started on 12 November 2017 to level the required area. The construction of girls’ hostel has already been started as seen on pictures.
The initiative of construction was taken by honourable minister Road & Bridge Shri G. M. Gurung (Patron of SIKKIM VIKLANG (DIVYANG) SAHAYATA SAMITI). The construction work, which started from 8th Feb 2018 of 40/80 building for girls hostel is sponsored by Mr. Kamlesh Agarwal of Singtam.
International Day for Persons With Disability on 3rd December 2018 was celebrated at Tashi Namgyal Academy Ground. The programme was sponsored by Social Justice Empowerment & Welfare Department, Sports Department, Government of Sikkim and organized by SIKKIM VIKLANG (DIVYANG) SAHAYATA SAMITI. Honourable Governor of Sikkim Shri Shriniwas Patil was the Chief Guest on that occasion and inaugurated the programme. His Honourable Governor of Sikkim Shri Shriniwas Patil distributed certificates to 6 people for their years of hard work in serving Persons With Disabilities.

The celebration concluded with grand lunch, which was enjoyed by all the people present in the programme. In the morning, breakfast was also distributed to all the students, teachers and volunteers who took part in the programme.
Sikkim Viklang Sahayata Samiti received National Award on 3rd December 2017 for the best institution in Sikkim, india working for Divyangjans. (Dr.) Mrs. Savitri Hamal received the National Award on behalf of SVSS from the Hon’ble President of India in New Delhi on the occasion of World Disability Day 2017.
Another screening camp was organized on 8th December 2017 to find out more Cleft lips & Palate patients in order to provide them needed treatment. Programme conducted by Dr. Satya Saraswas (Plastic & Cosmetic surgeon) from Saraswat Hospital, Agra. 33 patients attended the camp and out of 33, 11 Cleft Palate & Lip patients were selected who will get treatment in Agra.
About 11 Cleft Palate & Lip patients were sent to Agra on 25th March 2018 who was selected on the screening camp held on 8th December 2017 to get further treatment. The patients were escorted by Mrs. Purnima Sharma and Shanti Ghimiray After successful operation, this group of 11 people returned to Sikkim on 3rd April 2018. Details of the patients are as follows:

A workshop on doll making was held from 28th March 2018 to 30th March 2018. The Workshop on doll making was organized by the North East Zone Cultural Centre, Dimapur, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India in collaboration with Cultural Affairs and Heritage Deppt. Organized by SIKKIM VIKLANG (DIVYANG) SAHAYATA SAMITI. The workshop was attended by 50 students from different parts of Sikkim.
On 16th MAY 2019, Miss Droupadi Ghimiray, Project Director of Sikkim Divyang Sahayata Samiti (Formerly Sikkim Viklang Sahayata Samiti) received the prestigious padma Shri Award from Honourable President of India Shri Ramnath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi for exceptional and distinguished services in the field of Social Welfare-Divyang Welfare.
